Hot & Hilarious
Short and sweet today (and given the seriousness of my last few posts, I’m sure that’s a relief!). Have you watched The Office? I’ve heard tons of buzz about it, but only recently started watching the back episodes because I gave my hubby the first two seasons on DVD for Christmas.
Bottom line: HILARIOUS! I rarely laugh out loud at television shows, but this one has me doing it repeatedly. And the best part is how much I love the character of Jim. His budding romance with Pam the receptionist has me hooked.
Jim is tall and cute and has an irresistible sense of humor. There’s absolutely nothing dark or angsty about him. He’s a prankster and he’s goofy (sometimes he even looks goofy), the all-American boy-next-door who probably didn’t get the girls in high school.
But when he confesses he loves Pam and gets rejected and still comes back to kiss her–Whoo-eee, the guy is hot.
He’s the funny, sweet guy you can have as a best friend your whole life. And that makes his moments of romantic seriousness all the more special.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Have you seen The Office? What do you think of a guy with a sense of humor? High or short on the list?

I haven’t seen the office, but it’s my son-in-law’s favorite show. He says its very true to live. I never worked in a office setting so I wouldn’t know. But I’ll have to watch it now. My favorite show that makes me laugh out-loud, (like you I rarely do) is Boston Legal.

I grew up with a humorless father. I don’t want to be anywhere near a man who doesn’t laugh, especially at himself!
I don’t like The Office because it IS very real. It’s up there with Roseanne and All in the Family on my Can’t Watch list because I feel like I know those people, I’ve been in that place, and I did not have a good time there.
We’re watching reruns of My Name Is Earl, which is a lot funnier than we anticipated, and we love Family Guy, especially Brian and Stewie. The last thing that made me laugh until I was sick was The Venture Brothers.
Even though 2 of those 3 shows are animated, I assure you, I’m very, very old… ;D

I haven’t seen it. It’s one of those shows that I always mean to get around to, but I never do

Lee, I loved Boston Legal. Plus, I think being an RWA member will make you appreciate the make up of any office and in particular The Office.
Kerry, luckily I don’t think of anyone specific when I watch my shows. Haven’t seen any of your favs, will have to check them out!
Lone, you’re missing out! I have the feeling you’d appreciate it. Though no dom, alpha men on the show.

I haven’t seen the office, either, but I think I’ll start renting it on Netflix. I just order The Tudors and can’t wait to see that! I hear it’s racy and fun. Anybody see that show? I think it’s showtime.
I love a really great tv series [when I have time to watch!]. Thanks for the recommendation, V!
