Wanderers or Lost Souls
Wounded. Tormented. Like a poet, aching on the inside, happiness just out of reach. This poor man is a Lost Soul. Whatever has brought him to this angst-ridden place, he is afraid to allow himself to be more vulnerable than he already is. He has a protective wall around himself. Some might call him eccentric. Otheres might say he’s complex Whatever you call him, the Lost Soul is in need of saving.
His strengths are that:
-he’s a dreamer, always seeking a way out of his miserable situation.
-he’s intuitive. Just try keeping a secret from this guy. He’s an observer, an excellent judge of character, and he’ll have you figured out before you can spell his name.
-he’s devoted. He loves intensely, can be idealistic, and gives everything he has when he believes in something.
-he’s guarded because he knows that his vulnerability could become a weakness if used by the wrong person.
The Lost Soul has a few flaws, too. The are:
-his brooding nature. As an observer, he has the tendency to be pessimistic, unsmiling, and dark.
-his expectation of perfection and his memory. He can recollect every wrong done against him and has difficulty forgiving.
-his negativism. He prepares for the worst, not really holding out hope for the best.
Some of the best Lost Souls:
Sawyer, on the TV show Lost, is the epitome of a Lost Soul. It’s his dark past that has carved the man he is. His Bad Boy image is his protection against being vulnerable, but really, he just wants to be loved.

Talk about tormented and lost. Angel, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is a vampire gone good. Sort of. His choices mean he must fight his very nature every single minute. His brooding is certainly justified.

Sometime he broods. Sometimes he puts up walls. Sometimes he seems to know exactly who he is. But the truth is, Dean Winchester, from Supernatural, is a Lost Soul who is constantly searching for ways to make up for the tragedies of his past.

Keanu Reeves is at his most vulnerable in The Lake House. The woman he loves is unattainable. An aching heart has never been so sexy.
