Angel Virna

Virna De Paul has been a criminal appellate prosecutor with the California Attorney General’s Office since 1996. Before that, she spent a year in the trenches handling misdemeanor trials as a Deputy District Attorney. Her first romantic suspense manuscript, Trial By Fire, placed second in the 2007 Smokey Mountain Laurie’s single title category and landed Virna her dream agent, Kimberly Whalen. Virna’s second manuscript, Trial By Fury, is about a female ex-SWAT sniper who, in order to find a missing little girl, must rely on a scarred ex-felon wrongly convicted of murder. Her current work explores repressed memories, sexual fetishes, and crimes of passion. Virna likes to create steamy, compelling stories about people who are neither all good nor all bad, but ultimately make the right choices in life and love. Virna juggles her job and pursuit of publication with the support of the four men in her life (ages 2 to 38).
