When I was much younger, we moved from NC to PA then to VA and then to KY. I enjoyed all of it but I didn't have children then. We built our house in '73 and moved from an apartment. Only moved a little at a time so I could put everything where it went before moving more. That was so easy as everything was new in the house so I only had a small amount to move. I hope you get everything sorted out soon so you can start enjoying your new life. Take care everyone and hugs.

12 times. LC! Wow. I think we're at 8 or so, but this is 6 with kids and that sure does add a whole 'nother element! I agree, setting up house and decorating IS the best part. =)

I moved as a child from Minnesota to Cali, which was tramatic. I left behind my older syblings, cousins, aunts and uncles. My great-grandmother and grandmother had just passed away within months of each other. Both of which I was very close. I moved to an area, where for the first time in my life, I wasn't related to the town and didn't know a soul, besides the younger syblings who did make the move. I was 10 yrs old, and since than, every move I've made has been compared to this singular moment in my life. Even the weather was a mystery to me, I went from the boundry waters of the Canadian border, to the long dry hot summers of Northern California. I had a very thick Minnesota accent, that I was teased about, until it faded with time. When I still hear that accent in my speech occasionally, I now smile at the pride I take in it, and how unique I was for the small town that eventually I called home.
